Just back from the SMRT Challenge.. Shag but fun fun fun!! =)
Super shag now but didn't regret joining!! Wahaha

Thurs:
The first Basic Translation tutorial starts only from the fifth week, on a Thursday. Initially when I got the timeslot, I was super duper zzz cos Thursday is my ONLY free day! Rrgh.
So now for every odd week, it's a FIVE-DAY week. Great.
I had to drag myself to class, leaving home at around 2.3opm, after I have enough rest at home haha.. But when I entered the tutorial class, I went into a immediate high.
Well, there's nothing REALLY interesting about the tutorial, but people who know me know how much I love the Chinese Language. Seeing people present in Mandarin in class, using Chinese words, us arguing in Mandarin, and the teacher (it's still strange to call a Chinese teacher 教授，we still prefer to use 老师) teaching us in Chinese. The feeling was so surreal that I actually drifted off from the content of what was going on in the lesson, only for me to self-high, soaking in the Chinesey atmosphere I miss SOOO much.
And most importantly, 姚老师 speaks and teaches the same way as our dear 秋哥 (seriousness + dry humour + stern face)，which makes it even more nostalgic to me!
Constrast all these with the pathetic economics modules, where people (including me) are interested ONLY in the solutions to the questions rather than interacting with other fellow students, it makes the tutorial even more enjoyable.
I miss Chinese. I miss 4d. I miss interaction in class. It's a pity that we'll only have 4 tutorials, after which it's back to the boring boring econs life again =(
Of course, the meeting up for dinner and "maths tuition" later.. although it's only a short meet-up, it's enough to continue my good mood.
I'm rather disappointed by my inability in mathematics, making me rather deflated and guilty. But hey! No meet-up is ever a bad meet up! It renders all the travelling time worthwhile =)
Fri: Had Kbox session with Titus, Kerching, Elaine and Sharon
It's fun the first time Kboxing with them! (except for Titus, whom I went with for Foodhunt Kbox before) Sure there are some hidden talents there =) Kerching with his old emo songs, and sharon and elaine can sing! Not the power power kind, by I enjoyed singing duets when the girl can sing! But we still can be 'higher' k!! =)
After that, Titus had to leave early for his 7pm-10pm Forensic Science class (GREAT.). And the rest of us went to eat. But the most important thing is the BITCHING!! Bitching rocks!!! Wahaha.. It's great to be offered insights into some aspects of R-house during arts camp and mainly Oweek! It makes me miss R house suddenly, and I feel like a 'We will win the war' R-house camper again =X
It's amazing how old friendships can get re-kindled through camps, and new friendships built! But I'm lovin' it =)
But when I reached home I got too tired and concussed immediately after my 'dinner', missing my dota!! Rrgh.
Sat: I was expecting soccer in the morning, so I didn't go down to the swimming IFG (so I didn't manage to earn Amanda's 'love you forever' HAHAHA).. But erm when I don't ask, no soccer materialises.
So I mugged a little, but keep sleeping and sleeping, until it was time for our ocomm dinner.
I reached late, at around 7.20pm, but it seems that everyone's not too early too! It was good to see all my fellow ocommers back as a big group again, and being part of this larger identity.. I look at them, and see how we've progress from strangers to friends, and how some of them my forgotten 'speed-dating' partners to friends now hahaha. It is a good feeling =)
The dinner was not bad, but everyone ate too fast.. It was a buffet ok! But everyone just ate quickly, and starting all the cam-whoring haahaa.. and a nice little celeberation for Sandra the birthday girl! After that, it got kinda cold when nobody could decide where to go afterwards, and it ended just like that.. But well it was still a good gathering! =)
Sun: Ok it's today, the SMRT Challenge. Initially I was really quite reluctant to join this, and I normally can't mug during the weekdays, and need the weekend to make up for the lag in the week. But after that 'emotional blackmail' by Pearl powered by Serene and intiated by Titus, I finally joined it.
It's a super tiring day, but it's always fun joining activities to run around Singapore.
I got to
1) Visit the SMRT Changi Depot for the first time
2) Go into the driver's cabin for the first time
3) Know how to open the emergency ramp landing in the MRT
4) Get to search a taxi
5) Take MRT without tapping my ezlink card
6) Play games at MRT stations
7) Wear the stupid tee + stupid tag weaving amongst the crowd looking stupid =P
Trivia:
1) How many fire-extinguishers are there in an MRT train?
2) How many fire-extinguishers are there at the Changi Airport platform?
3) Which station's roof is shaped like a Malay house to blend in with its surroundings? (Clue: I live near there yet I didn't know!)
