The Heat Is On
A very big 'Thank you!' to everyone who has responded to my call for help!!
Really thanks for taking the trouble to signup =)
Anyway, I'll delete the previous post to prevent any complications =P
Well, there's nothing much to update, it has been mugging, mugging and more mugging.. with the occasional fun meeting up with people for lunch, movies, and dota at night.
From my second Macro1 tutorial, I finally feel 'the heat is on'.
There are two 'active' guys in class.
1. A old-looking plump man with the oldest form of dangling centre-parting, acting as if he's very smart. Indeed, he does the tutorial questions correctly, but his body language of opening his arms, trying to assert his 'smartness', plus that 'ridicolous!' look on his face make it irritating. He seems a confident person, but seriously I don't think he is smart at all.
2. A super rugged man with an army crew cut, with clothes, papers and handwriting that are crumpled, fading, and old-looking, having all the hints of an untidy man. This guy is even more irritating. It's obvious that he is STUPID, and the questions he asked are totally out of point, something easily understood by everyone. Discouraged by his wrong understanding of the question, he keep mumbling to himself (loudly) that he got the answers wrong. Imagine a ragged man mumbling 'wa lao, then all wrong already' in the most stressed manner possible. Not once, not twice, but lamenting EVERY few minutes. That's him.
Then, he tried to salvage his wrong presentation by 'filling' the tutor with EVERY pause in the tutor's talking. Irritating stop to the flow of the class, even the tutor is visibly irritated by him. I hope he gets less participation marks than those who keep absolute silence.
I hate it when the participation in the ivle forum is counted towards your grades. Class participation I understand, but ivle forum? Who has so much time in their hands? Nothing to do? Go ivle forum! I'm sure. Apparently some people DO have that much time in their hands. Spare me, I rather take a nap, talk cock with people on msn, or play dota when I have spare time.
Micro2 is absolutely crazy. Serene Tan is a crazy prof teaching in a crazy way. When the thing is cheem, she fast-forwards and skip them through. When the thing is simple, she spends a lot of time explaining it. She seems to only speak to herself in her harry-pottery British Accent. For the first time in my NUS life, I'm stuck in my tutorial, and gave up. Bad sign for the semester.
Suddenly I miss Sougat Poddar. (This only shows how bad Serene Tan is)
It's only year 2, but the level 3 modules are starting to kill me. Up to now, I've already double up my efforts as compared to the entire last sem, but yet it seems like things will only get worse.
I want to maintain my SAP, but I think I can't even maintain my CAP.
Normal service will resume, DL will become DuLan once again.
Life is more fun with more friends around FASS, but the stress level gets higher concurrently, as if the two are perfect complements.
As I said, the heat is on.
