Before I forget...
MJ's "This is it" is really damn nice.
He was 50, his movements are stiff compared to last time, but the music he made - with the band, dancers, vocalists behind him, are so damn inspiring.
Only from the rehearsals, I was quite high listening to the 'live' music.. If I were at the concert I think I would go crazy!
Live music really has its powers - his music just has this very subtle yet strong energy behind the catchy beat, that they seem to come from the soul. Sounds really cheesy I know, but it was just something different and unique. Full of power, full of message.
And meaningful lyrics, songs like Earth Song, Heal the World, Black or White - he sings every song with such passion in his voice it's inspiring.
Of course, Man in the Mirror - the last concert supposedly for this concert - never fails to cheat some tears out of my usually stingy eyes.
Regret that I didn't have a proper connect with his songs when I was growing up, and only knew how to really appreciate after he has died (to jump on the bandwagon also perhaps).
If I could dance, I would really want to learn his dance moves for songs like Beat it and Smooth Criminal - they are really the coolest and nicest dance moves I've seen before.
Luckily, my tuition kid have the "Best of MJ" CDs, so I can listen to his best hits now.
Better late than never.
For the last time, RIP MJ - King of Pop.
