NEW YEARIt's a New Year.
And a new week in camp.
It's always hard for guys like us to book in back into camp. Week by week, there will be that mental anguish of needing to go back camp, being in that gloomy environment and doing things u don't really like.
Yup it's similiar to going back to school after that nice, long holiday.
(Although in NS, two weeks of holiday is considered long, as compared to 4wks-6wks in school)
This week was a 4-day week but it hasn't been that easy.
For some reason, sleeping in camp isn't as easy as before, and that cold weather hasn't help either. It got me sick. Terrorised by the flu bug, the feverish feeling upon my forehead and the dryness inside my throat had made it hard for me to sleep.
There was nothing much to do in the office, but i got a nice little surprise from the office.
I got COS (company's only SAIGANG) duty on thursday!
I wanted to slack for the first week back in camp but straight away kena sianed by it.
Then thursday came, with the flu bug still firmly having its way inside my body.
The CSM (company's stupidest man) was still in a "festive" mood that day, so eager to give extra duties to people for doing guard or COS duties for CNY.
So he asked me along to check the area's cleaning, the left staircase and 3rd floor main corridor was found with maybe like ONE PIECE OF TISSUE PAPER and he asked them to sign extras.
Then he check the book-in/book-out books and found some people not to have signed with the correct procedures and gave them extras.
Festive mood indeed.
COS duty is no fun. You are supposed to stay in the office to receive calls, then whateva saigang will be bestowed upon u. Like getting people to clear rubbish, finding people, calling people, open and close rooms, open and close the hall or even help to shred unwanted documents!
Then u have to
STAND in the cookhouse with smart4 and beret like an idiot, watching people eat their meals for ard 1.75 hrs per meal.
With plenty of arrows shooting at you and plenty of saigang to do, the day passes fast, and u don't really get much sleep.
This tiring day weakened the immunity levels in my system, and it gave the flu bug strength, as I felt more feverish and more sick.
(Actually I'm sick while typing this, as you can see how boring this entry is. I just typed in whateva has came into my mind)
Entry on JB trip 30/12/05 coming soon.
Yah, I got another nice little surprise in camp.
COS duty on DA NIAN CHU SAN! damn the stupidest man.
